I guess the easiest way to start this photographic journey is to have a shameful boost of self-promotion. But… I figure I’m allowed to!

This picture is of me and my beautiful other half Jacki on our wedding day earlier this year. Our story of how we met and the often impossible stumbling blocks we overcame to be together is the inspiration behind the title of this post.

Historic Beauty

I’ve travelled to a few different places in my life so far, and each place has held something amazing that stays in the memory long after I’ve left. Sometimes, though, the true beauty of the town you live in passes you by until you’ve left.

Warwick, in the UK, is one such place. The town’s castle is so easy to take for granted… and I never realized it until I returned there with Jacki in 2006.

Time to Reflect

Cats have a wonderful life. They don’t have to go outside for the toilet when it’s pouring of rain, and they can sleep wherever and whenever the moment takes them.

This leaves them plenty of time to sit and reflect on their happy life. Our boy Phantom sometimes seems particularly wise.
